 I spot a DSLR here, I spot another one there, it's EVERYWHERE. It's the fad of the DSLR! It seems like everyone around my age is getting one, much rather want to have one. It's like the in thing rightttt now, and I've to admit that I also want one! (Ahem, but I wanted one like ages ago.) I('m envious of my friends who have one. & if I were to count, I know 15? people who own a DSLR. Freaking cool. Despite it's bulky and fragile body, it takes great images with outstanding resolution (if you know how to focus properly or use auto-focus that is.) Well, it's a pity they are not cheap. After spending, let say, $500 on a DSLR, are you sure you'll be happy with the camera alone? I bet NO. Okay, let's start counting the types of lenses available in the market - literally too many to count for a newbie. Let's all admit the fact - a freaking DSLR isn't cheap. Alright, let's talk about the care a DSLR needs to get since day 1 of your purchase. I heard from my friend that one has to face the lens downwards in a sandy area, unless you want to replace the lens every time it is scratched. Your trusty equipment need to be placed in a dry environment, meaning more thirsty hippos to suck up all the moisture. Blah blah blah. & even if you have a DSLR, do you have what it takes to snap a great picture? Skills, I talking about skills. But, I still want one. Shit. Someone, please stop me. :( Okay, I'll probably save up for one. D: If you haven't notice, I'm trying to persuade myself to NOT get a DSLR at this age.
